The Learner (and Teacher) of the Future

This interactive session is an opportunity to explore possible scenarios for the teacher and learner of the future.

What kind of learning is being made possible by the uses of technology that children are inventing? What can we learn from the emerging information and communication practices of youngsters with, for example, mobile telephones, net-based games, and Napster-like exchange networks? What are they learning, and how? How are these new practices impacting on the classroom culture? What are the emerging practices of educators using high-bandwidth networks for collaborative inquiry?
